Return & Refund Policy

1. Introduction

At MerinoSuits, customer satisfaction is our top priority. If you're not fully satisfied with your purchase of premium fabrics or readymade products, we offer a simple and transparent return and refund process.

Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase. By placing an order on www.merinosuits.com, you agree to the terms outlined below.

2. Eligibility for Returns

You may request a return, replacement, or exchange within 7 days of receiving your order (3 days for sale/discounted items), only under the following conditions:

  • ✅ You received a damaged, defective, or wrong product
  • ✅ The product received is different from what was shown on the website (significant variation in color, design, or composition)
  • ✅ The product has manufacturing defects such as weaving errors, holes, or stains (for fabrics)
  • ✅ The product has missing components or is not as described
⚠️ Note: Minor color variations due to dye lot differences, screen resolution, or lighting are not considered defects and are not eligible for return. Please refer to our Fabric & Color Disclaimer.

3. Conditions for Accepting Returns

Please ensure the returned product meets the following conditions. Products that do not meet these conditions may be rejected during quality checks and returned to you at your cost.

  • 📦 The product is unused, unwashed, and unaltered
  • 🏷️ All original tags, labels, and brand markings (including Raymonds, Siyaram's tags) are intact
  • 📦 Original packaging is preserved (fabric folded as delivered)
  • 🎁 Includes any accessories, freebies, or swatches (if applicable)
  • ✂️ Cut fabrics are not eligible for return (once cut from the roll, fabric cannot be resold)

4. Exchange Policy

We offer a free exchange for size, color, or design issues on readymade products (suits, blazers, trousers) subject to stock availability. For fabrics, exchange is only offered for defective or wrong product delivery.

  • 🔄 Exchange requests must be made within 7 days of delivery (3 days for sale items)
  • 🚚 Exchange will be processed and delivered within 5 to 10 business days after approval
  • 📏 For readymade garments: Size exchanges are subject to availability of the requested size
  • 🎨 For fabrics: Color/exchange is only offered if the same design is available in a different color

5. Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect the returned product at our warehouse:

  • ✅ If approved, the refund amount will be credited to your original payment method (credit card, debit card, UPI, net banking, or wallet)
  • ⏱️ Refunds may take 7–10 business days to reflect in your account, depending on your bank
  • 💰 For Cash on Delivery (COD) orders: We will initiate a bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS) after confirming return eligibility. You will be asked to securely share your bank details (account number, IFSC code, beneficiary name) via email or WhatsApp. This process takes an additional 3-5 business days.
  • 🚚 Shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (wrong or defective product).
✅ Partial Refunds: In cases where only part of an order is returned (e.g., one fabric out of multiple), we will refund only the value of the returned item. Shipping charges will not be refunded for partial returns.

6. How to Request a Return

To initiate a return or exchange, please follow these steps:

  1. 📧 Email us at support@merinosuits.com with your Order ID and reason for return
  2. 📸 Attach clear images or a short video of the product showing the damage, defect, or incorrect item
  3. 📞 Our team will respond within 24–48 hours with approval and next steps
  4. 🚚 We may arrange a reverse pickup (if available in your area) or ask you to courier the product back to us
  5. 📦 If self-shipping is required, we will reimburse reasonable shipping costs (up to ₹100) only if the return is due to our error

7. Important Notes

  • ⚠️ Only one replacement is allowed per order
  • 📍 If your location is not serviceable for pickup, you may be asked to self-ship the return
  • 💸 Shipping fees are non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error (wrong or defective product)
  • 🚫 Returns made without prior approval will not be accepted and will be sent back to you at your cost
  • ⏰ Returns requested beyond the 7-day window will not be entertained
  • 🏷️ Clearance, festive sale, and discounted items (40% or more off) are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange
  • 🩳 Innerwear, socks, and accessories (ties, pocket squares, belts) are not eligible for return due to hygiene reasons

8. Fabric-Specific Conditions (Premium & Branded Fabrics)

Since MerinoSuits specializes in premium and branded fabrics (Raymonds, Siyaram's, etc.), the following additional conditions apply:

  • ✂️ Cut fabric is non-returnable: Once fabric is cut from the roll to your specified length, it cannot be returned or exchanged unless there is a manufacturing defect.
  • 🎨 Color variation: Slight color differences between the product image and actual fabric due to dye lot variations are not eligible for return.
  • 🧵 Fabric feel/texture: Subjective differences in fabric feel (softness, weight, drape) are not eligible for return. We recommend ordering a physical swatch before purchasing bulk yardage.
  • 📏 Meterage tolerance: A tolerance of +/- 2.5 cm per meter is industry standard and not eligible for refund or replacement.
  • 🧺 Shrinkage after washing: Natural fibers (cotton, wool, linen) may shrink 3-5% after first wash. This is not a defect and is not eligible for return.
